Eduardo Cardona Alonso
Bachelor of Laws, Autonomous University of Barcelona.
Master in Financial and Tax Law, Centre for Tax and Economic Studies.
He has been a partner in the tax area at Ruiz-Ayúcar y Asociados, Colón de Carvajal Abogados and Écija.
In the tax field, he has extensive experience with defence procedures against tax settlements of the Tax Auditing Bureau and the Autonomous Communities. Among them, he achieved the annulment of Article 38 of the Inheritance and Gift Tax Regulation in the Supreme Court judgement of 18 February 2009, after raising a question of illegality. His experience also includes defending artists and athletes in matters concerning the use of companies to pursue professional and artistic activities.
In the corporate area, he is the secretary of the board of directors of several commercial, technology and entertainment companies, and he regularly advises on business and/or asset restructuring operations and on mergers and acquisitions.
He has extensive experience with legal operations involving the entertainment sector, having long advised theatre producers and operators.
Throughout his career, he has provided services for institutions such as the Royal Spanish Football Federation and the public entity Puertos del Estado.
He is Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Foro de Encuentros-Foro de Foros Foundation, which organises the La Granja Intergenerational Meetings.
He has been a visiting professor in the European University of Madrid master’s programme in access to the legal profession.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with a variety of general-interest publications.

My favourite activities are outdoors. I love the sea. I like nothing more than spending a day on a boat.
And on land, I really like to play golf… I hope to become good at it some day! Also paddle tennis.
I greatly enjoy long conversations with family and friends after a nice lunch. I’d drop anything for a good after-lunch conversation.
